BRB

Well… life is too busy right now. I’ll be back when this (my last) semester is complete. That is, unless I decide to start posting images of post-it note comics!

A new semester

I had my first day of the new semester last Thursday, and let me say I’m very glad that I’m finally here.

I’ve spent many more hours than I care to think about working my butt off for this degree and it’s finally within my grasp! Not only that but so far this semester looks like it will be extremely eye opening. My first class taught me several very good things that I have never heard of and will help me in my career—if the semester keeps going like that I’m set to be very smart by the end of it!

I’m also supposed to make a portfolio of all my work this semester. That will not only be fun but it’s something that I’ve needed to do for quite a while now to go job hunting. Not that I don’t like the job I’m in now, but I’d love to be doing graphic design full time.

I’ve also started an xbox 360 fund. It all started as a joke I sent to a few friends for a laugh, but I decided if I was going to go through all the work to make it I might as well benefit from it. I don’t know if anyone out there really cares about whether or not I get an xbox, but I might as well try! There’s always hoping! I am putting money into it myself, but it’s a very small amount because I can’t afford much with my small part-time income and I’m paying for my wife too. But it is what it is and I am glad I’m where I am.

Drop a comment, I’d love to hear from you!

So close

So close to the end of the semester! I only have 2 days left of grueling hours finishing these projects and then only 1 exam to study for! I’m so excited I’m going to have some free time again!

Off topic: I think I’ll be aquiring several freelance clients soon! Life is good.

Flu and the Ending of a Long College Career

Well it seems that my wife has the Flu. They didn’t run any conclusive tests but they told her at the Health Clinic that she has the Flu, possibly the Swine Flu. I’m really not worried because the Swine Flu isn’t that much worse (if at all) than the regular Vanilla flavored Flu, just more fattening.

I’m excited to say that I’m almost done with College! I’ve got about 3 weeks until the end of the present semester, and next semester I have only 2 classes left! So at this point it’s entirely possible that I’ll have significantly more free time starting in the beginning of December. I don’t know why you’re not pumped—because I am!

I feel reasonably confident of my abilities as a Designer. I am not exactly poised to revolutionize the world of Graphic Communication, but I’ve noticed that I flourish when given a real life scenario much more so than a classroom scenario. So I think that when I get out there and get some real clients (possibly next month!) I’ll find myself doing much better work than I am now. I intend to keep growing. I intend to get better.

While revolutionizing things isn’t my goal, I do intend to rock the boat as much as I can.

I intend to think outside the jail-cell.
